Quick Overview
Project Overview: We recently helped a homeowner in the Redmond/Seattle area transition to a high-efficiency “Dual Fuel” hybrid system. In our unpredictable PNW climate, having the efficiency of a heat pump is important. Additionally, pairing it with the reliable power of a gas furnace is the gold standard for year-round comfort.
What We Delivered:
The “Dual Fuel” Powerhouse: Installed a premium Trane 3-Ton Heat Pump (using the eco-friendly R454B refrigerant) alongside a Trane S8X1 80% AFUE Gas Furnace.
Smart Control: Integrated a 4th Gen Nest Learning Thermostat (Silver Edition) to give the client full mobile control. Moreover, it provides energy-saving automation.
Full Infrastructure Refresh: Ran a new high-performance refrigerant line set with professional-grade covers.
Upgraded electrical components, including new breakers and a dedicated service disconnect.
Installed a custom supply air duct plenum and high-quality duct insulation for maximum airflow efficiency.
White-Glove Service: Complete removal and eco-friendly recycling of the old, inefficient HVAC system.
Why This Matters for Seattle Homeowners:
Efficiency Meets Performance: With a SEER2 rating of 15.6, this system keeps the home cool during our increasingly hot summers. Meanwhile, the gas furnace provides cozy, reliable heat during those damp, freezing winter nights.
Built for the PNW: The side-discharge design of the outdoor unit is perfect for the tighter lot sizes often found in Redmond and Seattle neighborhoods. This design saves space without sacrificing power.
Peace of Mind: All work was performed by EPA-certified specialists and comes with our 3-year labor warranty.
